School Picture Day - Wednesday, October 7th - order forms are going home today

School Carnival - I am so excited about this year's STUCO school carnival!  We have changed some things this year and are hosting it outside on Saturday, October 10th, from 12:00 - 3:00 behind the ROC.  Please plan to attend!  We are having some new things for kids to do this year (petting zoo) and have some fun prizes to give out.  The concession stand will be open and, of course, we plan to put a lot of people in 'jail' again this year.  It should be a great time of fun and fellowship for our ACS families.

Homework Surveys - Survey sheets went home on Wednesday.  Please fill them our next week as your child does his/her Tuesday/Thursday homework.  Homework surveys are due back into the office no later than Monday, October 12th.

Parent/Student Surveys - These are going home on Monday with your child.  Please be in prayer over these before sitting down with your child to fill them out.  Please note that this form is not intended to replace our Matthew 18 principal, and if you are having an issue with a teacher, please go to them first to discuss it.  These forms, along with other resources, are used by the Academic Committee to help us train our teachers as well as be an encouragement to them.  These surveys are due back on Monday, October 12th, and can be turned in at Parent/Teacher Conference that evening.

Basketball Interest - Please let the office know if you or someone you know is interested in playing high school girls basketball or junior high boys basketball.  If you are interested in coaching junior high boys basketball, please let Mr. John Magras (Athletic Director) know.  His contact information can be found in the phone directory on our website.

Subs Needed - If anyone is willing to sub or knows of someone that may be interested, please contact the office.  Our sub list is fairly limited this year, and we really need to add a few more people.

STUCO Carnival - This year the student council has elected to move our carnival date to a warmer season and have it outside.  At this time, we are scheduled to have it October 10th from 12:00 - 3:00 outside at the ROC.  I know this is a busy time for families, but I also know our students are working hard to make this a great time for everyone.  Please plan to come and enjoy some fun games, great food, and fellowship with others in our community.  The kids are planning some great fall themed games so invite all your friends!

Pink Out Game - Thank you to all who came and supported our teams as well as gave to Kirsten Stone (not Kirsten Bergman Stone) who is battling *** cancer.  We were able to gift her with some money to help offset medical costs along with some very supportive and encouraging cards to help brighten her day.  I am truly touched by the continued generosity of our families at ACS.  God is faithful and continues to use you to impact the world around us.  Please check the website for athletic schedules and try to attend as many home games as you can.  It makes a big difference to our athletes when you are there cheering them on.

Childcare Needed - Robin Blake knows a young Christian mom due to give birth in October and is looking for a full time care giver for her child starting in January.  If you are interested in making extra money and love on a new little blessing, please call Robin Blake at (660) 221-8704 and she will pass your information along.
