Volleyball Scheduler - We are in need of someone to take over scheduling volleyball games and officials for next season - this is considered a 'parent job' valued at 3 points. In order for us to fill a schedule for next season, contacts will need to be made soon with other schools. If you are looking for a way to serve at ACS from the comfort of your own home, please consider filling this position. Interested persons should contact the school office or Mr. John Magrass (AD). Please note that if this position is not filled, we will be unable to have a volleyball program next school year.
Report Card Inspector - Worth 2 parent points - Mrs. Breid has been filling this role for the past few years and is graduating both of her children this year. Report cards are checked following the end of each quarter. This person would be responsible for coming in and checking that each grade card is filled out completely and accurately. It would be best if someone would step up now to take this job for next year so they can shadow Mrs. Bried before she leaves. If interested, please contact the school office.
Mission Trip - The student council has decided to try to go to Utah and help a former Applewood graduate that is there working with the Mormon population. It would be a great opportunity, but your help is needed. If they are to go, we would need to begin fundraising and planning immediately. Please let me know if you'd be willing to help.
ACS Feast Day - November 25th - Communication concerning the Thanksgiving feast went home this week (orange paper). Please note that the deadline to sign up is November 13th. There is also a place for you to sign up to prepare potatoes and/or a turkey or to even consider purchasing a turkey for someone else to prepare. In addition to the meal, Mrs. Leon is once again helping our elementary students prepare a skit or musical piece to share. She is needing to know who is not planning to be here that day so she can plan accordingly. Please let her know as soon as possible.
