Bookmobile - Wednesday, November 18th

Show Me Crafters - Student Council is once again helping set up and tear down for Show Me Crafters - If your child is in STUCO and interested in helping they should be at the Agriculture Building (Mo State Fair Grounds) today from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, tomorrow from 7:00 - 9:00 am, and/or Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.  For more information contact Natalie Church.  Welcome aboard new student council advisers, Rick and Debra Andresen!

ACS Feast Day - November 25th - program will begin at 11:30 with lunch to be served at noon - There is always so much to be done to prepare for this event, so if you are interested in helping please contact the office.  Thank you Darla Steele for once again agreeing to oversee the meal preparation.

Math Tutor - For those that have been asking for additional help in math, we have found an available math tutor.  The highest level of math that she feels comfortable tutoring students would be Algebra I or Geometry.  If interested, please contact Dixie Klement - (660) 473-6354.

Honor Roll - We recently acknowledged our 1st quarter honor roll recipients and I am pleased to report that 45 out of 50 eligible students ended up on the honor roll.  Your hard work and dedication to ACS academics is paying off!!

Farewell to the Pattons - The Lord has provided a new ministry opportunity for both Chris and Jamie Patton in Alabama and they will therefore be moving.  We are very excited to see how God uses their family, but we are so sad to see them leave.  The girls' last day at Applewood will be November 20th, so be sure to wish them well and say goodbye before they go.

Boston Fundraiser - This year's 8th grade students are selling ACS tumblers, bags of apples, and Perkins pies to help raise funds for their trip this summer.  If interested in buying, contact Lorna Sparks (660-620-2863).  They have also provided a snack basket in the office with cookies and candy bars for sale.

Report Card Inspector - Worth 2 parent points - Mrs. Breid has been filling this role for the past few years and is graduating both of her children this year.  Report cards are checked following the end of each quarter.  This person would be responsible for coming in and checking that each grade card is filled out completely and accurately.  It would be best if someone would step up now to take this job for next year so they can shadow Mrs. Bried before she leaves.  If interested, please contact the school office.
