Each theatrical production takes a lot of time and effort for ALL involved to make it such a success. They are asking our families to prayerfully consider donating any of the following items: bias tape (used for quilting), winter coats for toddlers sizes 1-3, maternity shirts, wash cloths, nursing tops, baby bath towels, and newborn/preemie sleepwear. Drama Production Auditions - Call backs are today from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. This year's theatrical production is one of the best musicals ever produced for stage, Fiddler on the Roof . This is a beautiful show which focuses on family and community. Mrs. Leon is still needing boys for some non-singing roles in a few scenes. Dads, you can come and fill these roles as well. Ephesians 3:17-18 Welcome New Students - We have added two new students to our ACS family. Eden Herren has joined our Kindergarten class and is the younger sister of Eli Herren. Samuel Weekley has joined our 7th grade class and comes to us from the Blackwater area. Their contact information has been added to the ACS online directory. Please help them feel welcome as they navigate these new waters. Basketball Games - Tonight for all three teams beginning with our junior high boys team playing at 5:00 followed by the varsity girls team at 6:00. The varsity boys team will finish the evening with a game at 7:15 pm. Come one, come all, and cheer loudly for your ACS Mustangs!! ACS Apparel - Shirts have been delivered, and we have had a few people say they wished they had ordered. As a result, we will be placing another apparel order. Order forms will be going home today. The deadline to order shirts will be Friday, January 13th. Grade Cards - Going home today Honor Roll Recognition - We will recognize and celebrate the academic excellence of our honor roll students on Monday, January 9th during opening. Parents are always welcome to attend. Security System - An email was sent out Tuesday afternoon notifying all families of our newly implemented security system that went into effect on January 4th. Students and teachers are adjusting nicely, and we are happy to have our system up and running. Parents, please remember that you will now need to check in at the glass window once inside the foyer to be buzzed in past the wooden doors. Mission Trip - Mrs. Furrey leaves Friday morning for a medical mission trip to Haiti. She will be gone for a week. Please join me in praying for her safety, her family while she is away, and also that the people of Haiti will be receptive to the gospel message as they receive medical attention. School Picture Day - November 4th in the morning - This year Mrs. Brenda Nevels will be taking our school pictures - order forms and payment should be brought to school on picture day.
