Welcome back from Christmas break! It has been good to see all of our staff and students back. Our school year will be over before we know it. It's sounding like we may have some inclement weather coming over the weekend. Students have been reminded to take home all books this weekend. As always, if school gets cancelled for any reason, check the website for homework assignments. All homework is due the day we return to school. Have a blessed weekend!
Home Basketball Game: TONIGHT! @ 6 pm - Bring your family and come join us for our varsity boys' game verses Christian Fellowship. Feel free to check the school website for all other scheduled games!
Grade Cards: Grade cards with 2nd quarter and 1st semester grades are being sent home TODAY. Please review your student's grade card, sign the back, and return to the school office.
Honor Roll Recognition: Monday, January 13 during Opening - Parents are welcome to join us as we present Honor Roll certificates for 2nd quarter.
Prom Meeting: January 14, 6:30 pm @ Jester's - All junior families are encouraged to attend.
Senior Meeting: January 15, 5:30 pm @ El Espolon
STUCO Carnival: January 18 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the ROC gym - Student Council is hosting the school carnival again this year. The theme for this year is "Candy Land". Students are welcome to dress up as any of the Candy Land characters. Plan now to attend this fun event. There will be games, prizes, food, Cake Walk, Pie in the Face, and a Senior Game!
School Board Meeting: January 20 @ 6:30 pm
Add/Drop Deadline: January 22 - Any high school students that would like to add or drop a class can pick up a form from Mrs. Furrey in the office. The form must be signed by the student and a parent.
3rd Quarter Mid-Term Cutoff: January 31
Valentine's Day: February 14 - Students will have an opportunity to share Valentine's with one another that day, if they so choose. A student and teacher roster will be sent home at a later date.
No School: February 17 - Teacher's will not be assigning homework for that day. However, teachers are able to assign homework for Tuesday, February 18.
Basketball Awards Banquet: February 24 @ 6:30 pm in the ROC gym - Join our basketball teams as they celebrate their accomplishments for the season.

Chicken Eggs: March 23 - The University of Missouri Extension Office will be delivering the chicken eggs for our students to observe them as they are hatching. Mrs. Otten is looking for volunteers to take the eggs and hatched chicks home to care for them on our days away from school. If your family is interested in "chick-sitting", please contact Mrs. Otten to get your name on the list. Also, once all of the eggs have hatched, Mrs. Otten will be looking for permanent homes for them. If you would like to have any of the chicks, let Mrs. Otten know.
