It's hard to believe that we are one week away from Christmas break!  This school year is flying by.  It has been a wonderful school year!  There are many things to be thankful for!  Praying that each of you have a blessed, restful Christmas break!

Community Mission Opportunity: Mrs. Greer sent an email out on Wednesday with all of the details.  Mrs. Chernish has scheduled a time for students, staff, and families to go and decorate holiday doors for some of the residents at E.W. Thompson.  Tomorrow, December 14 from 1 pm to 5 pm, students are invited to go to the Chernish's home to prepare decorations to be hung on the residents' doors.  Students are encouraged to bring any craft supplies from home.  Snacks will be provided.  On Wednesday, December 18 from 3:30 to 5:30, students will go to E. W. Thompson to decorate the residents' doors.  (There will be no after school tutoring that day.) 

Spirit Days: Monday, December 16 - Pajama Day; Wednesday, December 18 - Crazy Sock & Hat Day; Friday, December 20 - Ugly Sweater Day

Christmas Gift Exchange - Gifts are due to the school office no later than Wednesday, December 18.   

STUCO Christmas Social: Thursday, December 19 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Mabry's - This is a time of fun and fellowship for our high school students.  Wear your favorite ugly sweater and a white elephant gift for the exchange.   

Christmas Party Day: December 20 from 8:10 to 11:30 am - This will be a fun day of fellowship with classmates, teachers, and room parents.  All parents are invited to join us!  Students will play games, do crafts, watch a movie, eat snacks, and exchange Christmas gifts.  For elementary students, please bring a healthy and a sweet snack to share.  For grades 6th-12th, please bring the following: Last name beginning with A-L bring a sweet snack, M-Z bring a healthy snack. Following clean up, school will dismiss at 11:30 am.  Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 8. 

Live Nativity: Sunday, December 22 from 5 pm to 7 pm - First United Methodist Church is hosting a Live Nativity and ALL are invited to attend.  There will be live camels, donkeys, goats, and sheep.  This is a come and go experience.  You are able to pet and feed the animals if you wish.  There will also be cookies and cocoa available inside.  

Christmas Break Begins: December 23

Classes Resume: Wednesday, January 8, 2020 @ 8 am     

STUCO Carnival: January 18 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the ROC gym - Student Council will be hosting the school carnival again this year.  The theme for this year is "Candy Land".  Plan now to attend the event.  There will be games, prizes, food, and lots of fun! 

School Board Meeting: January 20 @ 6:30 pm 

Add/Drop Deadline: January 22 - Any high school students that would like to add or drop a class can pick up a form from Mrs. Furrey in the office.  The form must be signed by the student and a parent.
