STUCO Carnival: January 26 from 5 to 8 pm in the ROC gym - This is an event that you don't want to miss!!! There is much fun and fellowship to be had. STUCO is busy preparing. Plan now to join us for fun, games, concessions, and much more! Dress up as anything that flies or can be found in the sky. There will be a Pie in the Face Contest!!! Bring your entire family!
8th Grade Fundraiser: Support the 8th graders as they fund raise for their trip to Boston. Order forms for a Valentine treat went home today. You can choose from a juice or a root beer and chocolate dipped treat for your special someone. $2 each. Order forms and payment are due in the office by Friday, February 8. Treats will be delivered on Friday, February 15 during the Valentine exchange.
3rd Quarter Mid-Term Cutoff: January 30 - Grades will go home the beginning of the following week.
Spirit Day: Friday, February 1 - Wear your school colors and gear to support our basketball boys!
Pep Rally: Friday, February 1 at 11:30 am in the ROC gym - We will be introducing our junior high and high school basketball teams. All parents are welcome.
Basketball Senior Recognition: Friday, February 1 - The high school basketball team will be recognizing senior basketball players between the junior high game at 6 pm and the high school game at 7 pm. Plan now to attend!
Board Meeting: Thursday, February 7 at 6:30 pm
Benefit Fish Fry: Saturday, February 9 - There will be a benefit held at the Smithton Diner from 3 to 8 with all proceeds going directly to Chris & Kim Mabry. Kim is a beloved teacher at ACS. Her husband Chris was recently injured in a construction accident while working. He will be unable to work for approximately 30-60 days. Due to the loss of income, friends will be coming alongside the Mabry's during this time to give them assistance. There will be a fish fry, silent auction, and raffles. The fish dinner will consist of 5 pieces of fish, cole slaw, bbq beans, hush puppies, dessert, and a drink for $10. The event coordinators are accepting additional donations for the auction and raffles, if you would like to give in this way. Purchase fish fry tickets in advance in the ACS office.
Senior Class Fundraiser: Sunday, February 10 from 12-1:30 at Katy Park Church - Due to the anticipated weather, please note the date change. The seniors will be hosting a chili and soup luncheon, and a dessert auction to raise funds for their senior trip to Panama City Beach, Florida.
Valentine Exchange: Friday, February 15 - Students will have the opportunity to exchange Valentine's with their schoolmates and teachers, if they choose. A list of students and teachers went home today.
No school: Monday, February 18 - There will be no school or homework for that day. However, teachers are allowed to give homework for Tuesday, February 19 if the teacher chooses.
STUCO Lock-In: February 22 - Student Council will be having a lock-in social from 8 pm Friday, February 22 until 6 am Saturday, February 23 in the ROC gym. More information will be coming as they plan their event.
