Welcome to the ACS family - Beginning April 4th we will have a new teacher joining our ACS staff for the remainder of the school year. Denise Ehlert will be teaching our K - 8 PE and 8th grade study hall. Please join me in making her feel welcome!
Drama Needs - There is a need for the following items for this year's drama production, The Enchanted Bookshop.....stretcher; small magnifying glass; fake, rubber, or plastic beetle; binoculars; stethoscope; sling shot; lasso; lariat; large pet pillow (clean); old book that is hollow to hide things inside and has a lock that can be opened. All items are needed by the week of Iowa Basic testing. Please contact Katelynn Nevils (287-1681) with any questions.

Iowa Basic Testing - Grades 2 - 11 - March 26 - 27 - An informational sheet with testing details has gone home with your child.
CPR Training - Senior class ONLY - Monday, March 26th @ 10:30 am at the Pettis County Health Center - This is a graduation requirement, so please be sure to put it on your calendars now.
Easter Break - Begins Wednesday, March 28th
Classes resume - Wednesday, April 4th
4th Quarter Mid-Term Cutoff - Friday, April 6th
Prom - April 7th @ 7:00 pm
Plan Night - Thursday, April 12th @ 6:00 pm in the church sanctuary - This is a very important and informative meeting for all current 8 - 11th grade students and their parents. You will learn valuable information about applying for colleges, scholarships, financial aid, etc...We will also be planning all schedules for the next school year. Please plan now to attend.
Drama Production Dress Rehearsals - April 21st (1:00 - 4:00), 24th (4:00 - 8:00), and 26th (4:00 - 8:00)
Senior Class Fundraiser - The senior class will once again be hosting a fish fry fundraiser on April 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Smithton Diner. Tickets are available for purchase in the school office. Ticket prices are as follows: Adult ($10.00) and Kids 10 & under ($6.00) Tickets will not be for sale at the door.

Senior's Last Day - 1/2 day on Wednesday, May 2nd
Senior Graduation - Saturday, May 5th @ 2:00 pm in the ROC - All ACS families are invited and encouraged to attend
Kindergarten Graduation - Wednesday, May 9th @ 2:30 pm - Come help us celebrate the accomplishments of our kindergarten class! Refreshments will be served in the Awana room immediately following the ceremony.
Book Fees - Book fees are paid in May in lieu of tuition - Book fees are $165 per student and must be paid by May 10th
Last Day of School - 1/2 day on May 11th - This is a clean up day for students (grades 1-12) so please wear clothes that can get dirty - Students should be picked up at 11:00 - parents are welcome to attend
Book Turn In/ Grade Card Pick Up - Wednesday, May 16 from 9:00 - 12:00 - Grade cards will not be released until all books are returned and all fees are paid including all tuition, book fees, and Scrip fees.
September Tuition - due June 10th - this payment holds your child's spot in the class for the 2018/2019 school year
