Lost and Found - We did have a few items claimed Wednesday from our lost and found, however we still have quite a bit left.  We will take whatever items are left unclaimed by December 19th to The Warm House in Warsaw.  Please be sure to stop in and see if any of our 'goodies' belong to you.

Christmas Tree Needed - We are looking for a large Christmas tree to decorate the foyer.  If you have one you would like to donate for the season, please let the office know.

Spanish Caroling - Mrs. Leon's Spanish classes will be going caroling this Friday, December 5th.  They plan to leave the ROC at 8:00 pm and hope to be done around 1:00 am.  Mrs. Leon would like all current Spanish I and II students to attend, but she has also invited her former Spanish students to participate if they would like.  All permission slips must be turned in before they can go Friday night.  If you would like them to visit your house that evening, please let Mrs. Leon know.  It is traditional for the host / hostess to invite the the carolers inside and offer them some treats and warm drink for around 25 persons.

Christmas Program - Applewood's traditional Christmas program is fast approaching, and all junior high and elementary students have been working on memorizing their songs and lines for the performance on Thursday, December 18th.  Please, remind your child to take time to memorize their lines at least 20 min. every homework day.  They have also received a cd with songs they are learning.  Please play the cd as much as possible.  Junior High costumes for this performance are a basic cowboy or cowgirl look.  Mrs. Leon plans to send home a letter on Wednesday outlining any additional costume needs.  Dress rehearsals will be December 15 from 3:30 - 5:30 and again on December 17 from 3:30 - 5:00.

Bell Ringing - Our high school students will once again have the opportunity to ring the bell for the Salvation Army red kettle.  If your child (grades 9-12) wishes to participate, please see Caroline Kelly.  They will be ringing on December 6th at the east entrance of Wal-Mart from 9-11 and 11-1.

Family Club Script Cards - As you begin your Christmas shopping, please think about how you may be able to use script cards this holiday season.  Mrs. Rehmer has purchased some additional cards to meet your needs.  It's a great way to meet your $100 commitment that each family must earn while buying the things you were already planning to buy anyway.

Unclaimed dishes - We have several dishes in the office that were unclaimed after our Thanksgiving feast.  Please be sure to stop in and see if they belong to you.  Any unclaimed items will be donated to The Warm House in Warsaw after school lets out December 19th.

Gift Exchange - Each year our students do a gift exchange on our Christmas party day.  On Wednesday our students exchanged names with each other.  An informational sheet has gone home with your child outlining a maximum dollar amount that each group is asked to adhere to.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office.

Upcoming Birthdays - (01) Gaye Hiller  (05) David Bessert
