Guest List Due Today - Fundraising guest lists are due in the office today. Even if your list is not complete at this time, please go ahead and turn it in. You can add to it as you continue to seek additional guests.
Grandparents Day - Thank you to our seniors for preparing such a lovely meal in honor of our grandparents! We served an additional 27 meals today!! We had a great turnout and the students and grandparents alike seemed to enjoy their time together.
Bandannas and Horse Shoes - The fundraising dinner committee is looking for bandannas (any color) and horse shoes. This year they have decided to go with a country theme and are in need of decorations. If you have any you'd like to donate for the evening, please contact Denise Morrison at 553-1626. A big 'thank you' to this committee for coordinating this evening. It is sure to be a great night!!
STUCO Social - Student council is having a bonfire on Saturday, October 17th at 6:30 at the Steele's house. Each child is asked to bring their own hot dogs and 'smores ingredients'. Drinks will be provided. If you need directions, please contact Darla Steele at 827-0033.
Great Escape - 9th and 10th Grade - October 18th - information went home today.
Parent / Student Surveys - Family surveys went home on Monday, October 6th. Please be sure to sit down with your child and fill them out together. Make sure that what you put on your survey does not take the place of speaking directly to a teacher if you are having an issue. It's also a good time to evaluate your own involvement in your child's education. Surveys are due back on October 13th at parent - teacher conference. Once grade cards are completed, they will be held until your family survey is returned. The end of 1st quarter is October 24th.
Sports Pictures - Scott Young is looking for volleyball and soccer pictures for the slide show. If you have any, please let him know.
Yearbook Pictures - Allpewood yearbook class would appreciate it if you would take pictures at your student's special events (sports, field trips, etc.). Please email them to us at: applewoodyearbook@yahoo.com
Parents of 5th - 8th Grade Students - Please let Mrs. Leon know if your child will not be participating as a performer for the fundraising dinner on Saturday, November 1st. These students provide the entertainment for that evening right before the speaker, and Mrs. Leon needs to know with how many sutdents she can count on as she begins building up the program during drama class from 12:45 - 1:30 pm. If your family will not be hosting a table that evening and you are doing the buy out, your child can still participate. If your child will not be able to attend for whatever reason, please let Mrs. Leon know.
5th - 8th Grade Requirements for Fundraising Dinner - A letter went home with your child today outlining costume and rehearsal requirements. Costumes need to be at school by Friday, October 24th. There will be a required rehearsal on Thursday, October 30th.
