Hello ACS!
Winter Sports Awards is this Tuesday. We invite everyone
to attend and hear how our basketball teams did this year! The varsity girls
are playing today in Springfield for 3rd place in the National Christian
Homeschool Tournament.
Please mark your calendars now for the ACS Drama
Production! It is April 25-26. Several of our students in grades 4th-12th
are busily working now on the production. It is a 1920’s musical entitled Charleston. With 34 students involved, it
is our largest cast ever!
Art Teacher: Mrs.
Julie DeBord’s mother has suffered a heart attack and Julie has taken a
permanent leave of absence. Please keep their family in your prayers. Miss
Angie Ditzfield has been hired as a permanent sub for the remainder of this
school year.
Drama Students: Please be mindful of your rehearsal times. If you cannot make a
rehearsal, please let Mrs. Leon know in writing.
Elementary Gathering: Thursday,
March 20, 10-11:30 am – Grades K-5
will be getting together at Centennial Park in Sedalia. Come wearing green and
bring something green to eat in your sack lunch. There will be a fun and
educational activity. To ensure we have enough green supplies, please RSVP by
March 17. You may sign up in the office or text Mrs. Boyd. Your child should
have received a flyer with all the details.
The Dark Side of Technology Seminar: – Tues.,
March 25, 6:30 pm We will be showing The Dark Side of Technology DVD and hosting
a conference call for questions with the author, Brad Huddleston. A few
teachers heard Brad speak at a training seminar in the fall and were very
impressed with him and his material. Presently, Mr. Groshart is taking the
computer class through his book. You can research his material further at www.bradhuddleston.com. We highly
recommend this informative seminar for all
parents and for students, 5th grade and up.
