Hello ACS!
Well, hopefully, winter is over and we will not have to
worry anymore about snow days! Thank you to all for helping us to keep things
running so smoothly!
Please remember our varsity girls’ basketball team as
they will be traveling back and forth to Springfield this coming week to
participate in the National Homeschool Championships! Also, we invite everyone
to attend the winter sports awards night, Tuesday, March 18.
Today was the last day for third quarter! We should have
grade cards out next Friday. School is quickly coming to an end. Let’s
encourage our students to finish strong!
Bookmobile: Wednesday, March 12 – Please remind your child to return their books to
school.
Elementary Gathering: Thursday,
March 20, 10-11:30 am – Grades K-5
will be getting together at Centennial Park in Sedalia. Come wearing green and
bring something green to eat in your sack lunch. There will be a fun and
educational activity. To ensure we have enough green supplies, please RSVP by
March 17. You may sign up in the office or text Mrs. Boyd. Your child should
have received a flyer with all the details.
The Dark Side of Technology Seminar: DATE CHANGE
– Tues., March 25, 6:30 pm We will be
showing The Dark Side of Technology
DVD and hosting a conference call for questions with the author, Brad
Huddleston. A few teachers heard Brad speak at a training seminar in the fall
and were very impressed with him and his material. Presently, Mr. Groshart is
taking the computer class through his book. You can research his material
further at www.bradhuddleston.com.
We highly recommend this informative seminar for all parents and for students, 5th grade and up.
