Greetings ACS,
Thanksgiving is almost here! The day before Thanksgiving
is a big day for ACS; it is Feast Day! For those who are new to ACS, all of the
students take turns in the kitchen preparing our thanksgiving meal. Our
elementary students, K-4, have been busily getting the entertainment ready.
Several family members and alumni join us for Feast Day. We do ask for
donations to help cover the cost of the meal. Please let all of your guests
know to arrive by 11:30 am as that is when the children’s program begins. Our
meal will be served following the program. It is a wonderful day to remind
ourselves of all we have to be thankful for and we look forward to seeing you
here!
Parent Volunteers Needed!: We are in need of 3 vital positions for next year!
One is the athletic director. This is an over-arching position supervising our
athletic programs; it is a 3 year commitment. Another job is scheduling of
volleyball and soccer games. This is something that begins this year so that our
schedule is in the final stages before school is out for summer. Dan Rogers has
volunteered to schedule basketball games. The scheduling of games is something
that can be done from home and you do not need a child in the athletic program.
If you are interested in either position, please contact Cindy Rieckhoff at
660-525-2106.
Senior Hot Lunch Coordinator
is another job we would like in place by the spring semester. This person could
train under Paula Crosier, our current coordinator. You do not need to have a
senior student to be the coordinator. Without a coordinator, we will not be
able to offer the hot lunch program next year. If interested, please contact
Paula at 660-473-4635.
