Greetings ACS,

Thanksgiving is almost here! The day before Thanksgiving is a big day for ACS; it is Feast Day! For those who are new to ACS, all of the students take turn in the kitchen preparing our thanksgiving meal. Our elementary students, K-4, have been busily getting the entertainment ready. Several family members and alumni join us for Feast Day. We do ask for donations to help cover the cost of the meal. Please let all of your guests know to arrive by 11:30 am as that is when the children’s program begins. Our meal will be served following the program. It is a wonderful day to remind ourselves of all we have to be thankful for and we look forward to seeing you here!

Family Club News: Scrip Cards will be for sale at the Feast. Mrs. Rehmer will be stocking her binder just for this special day. Please let you guests know as it is a great opportunity to Christmas shop. ACS Window Clings for your car will be for sale at the Feast. We have the older design with the apple and the newer design with the Mustang. The prices range from $7.00 – $10.00.

Box Tops: November Contest – Turn in your box tops by Monday, Nov 25. The top earner will receive a $10 scrip card of their choice. The top earning class will not have to do their clean up jobs on the first Friday of December; they will be done by Mrs. Bessert!

Boston Scrapbooking Event: Saturday, Nov 16 – 9 am-6 pm – cost: $25.00 – Any crafters (scrapbooking, jewelry making, quilting, knitting, etc) are welcome to come and enjoy a day of crafting with friends. Drinks and a meal will be provided. Even if you are not a crafter, please stop by sometime during the day and browse the vendors who will be here: Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Michi bags, Thirty-one bags, Origami Owl, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Blessings Unlimited, Discovery Toys, UpperCase Living, Stampin’ Up, and Avon. Christmas is right around the corner!

Spanish Class Christmas Caroling: Friday, Dec 6 – 7:30 pm – Your Spanish students should have received a permission slip to go caroling. This is an annual event and lots of fun for all involved. If you would like the class to come carol your home, please let Mrs. Leon know as soon as possible.
