Greetings ACS,
I hope everyone received and filled out the survey about
homework and the amount of time it takes your student to complete each subject.
We would appreciate these being turned in to the office by Monday, if you have
not already done so. This is one way we utilize to make this the best
educational experience we can offer. Thank you!!
Please remember our varsity soccer and volleyball teams
this weekend. They leave today for a weekend tournament in Columbia! Also, our
JV Volleyball team will be hosting a tournament Saturday, October 6. Come out
and support our girls if you can!
Homework Surveys: Due Monday, if you have not already turned them in to
the office.
Mid-Term Grades: Today is the cut-off for first quarter mid-term grades. We will be
mailing home grades for students who are receiving a 70% or below in any class.
As a parent, you may request a teacher calculate your child’s grade regardless
of the percentage.
Basketball Meeting: Monday, Oct 8 – For anyone player and their parents
who may be interested in playing basketball this year. This meeting will
determine if there is enough interest in having any junior high teams.
Calendar Change: Per our teacher’s request, we are switching the date for
parent/teacher conferences in the fall. They will be Monday, Oct. 29, instead of Tuesday, Oct. 30.
This is a great night for all parents to come and speak one on one with each of
your child’s teachers. You will also receive your first quarter grade card
during this evening.
Student Council News: Our night to work at the Community Café is Oct. 2. The SSLC food drive dates are Oct. 20 and 24.
