Season’s Greetings ACS,

Parents, as the cold and flu season is here, please be mindful of making sure your child gets enough rest and a good breakfast. Please remind them of good hygiene skills. Also, if your child is going to be tardy or absent, please call the office as this helps with attendance and absentee homework sheets. Additionally, I want to make sure each family knows that your child is encouraged to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack to have during the day.

Our Christmas season is here and kids are busily preparing for our Christmas program. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend Thursday, Dec 15 as we celebrate the birth of our Lord together. Also, Friday, Dec 16 will be our last day before Christmas break. It will be a half day filled with games, crafts, and gifts. We will end school at 11:30 am that day.

As Christmas approaches, so does winter.  I wanted to remind everyone what will occur should we have a snow day. It will be announced on KSIS-AM 1050, KSDL 92.3 FM, and KXKX 105.7 FM. It will also be on the website and you will receive a one call by 6:30 am. On those days we have snow; teachers will post their class work and homework on the website. Each teacher has a blog and the information will be posted by 10 am of that day.

2011 Holiday Shopping Extravaganza – The 8th grade class will be hosting a gift wrapping station at this extravaganza to raise funds for Boston. The event will be having hourly door prize drawings all day.

The ACS Student Council will be sponsoring one family this year as well. Items donated need to be to the Salvation Army by Dec 15.
