Greetings ACS,

Thanksgiving is upon us and I am so thankful for ACS! It is a privilege to work and serve among such a fabulous Christian family. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives! It is joy to see Christ use each of us and our individual talents and gifts for His glory.

Feast Day is next Wednesday and Mrs. Lana Kelly is busy preparing our meal this year. We still need 4 or 5 volunteers to make a pan of potatoes and 4 more cooks to cook the donated turkeys. If you could help with either of these tasks, please call Lana Kelly, 660-619-4807, asap. Thank you!

Student Council News – Spirit Clothing orders have been turned in and should be ready in a couple of weeks. There were 77 items ordered. Thank you to all who ordered!

StuCo voted to give $700 to the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis to sponsor 7 kids for Christmas.

Students have been working in the elementary building cleaning, painting and putting up scripture passages to decorate the walls. As you see their progress, please let them know how much you appreciate their hard work!

For a school-wide project, StuCo is joining the Sedalia Student Leadership Council and will be collecting toys for children in need for Christmas. Please bring toys and put them in the box in the foyer of the ROC. Deadline is Dec. 2.

Several students will be volunteering at Open Door food pantry every other Thursday starting Dec. 1 from 10 am to 12 pm.

Finally, twelve high school students and twelve parents will be going to Costa Rica May 23-30 to serve on a mission trip teaching VBS, working in a soup kitchen, and helping at a camp center. Please pray for this trip. The remaining high school students will have an opportunity to go to the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis to minister to the children. Please pray that a couple of parents will be available to lead this trip.

Scrip Cards – Black Friday is next week. Why not purchase scrip cards to take with you to shop! The family club will have a few extra to sell at the feast. They will also be taking orders to be picked up the following Friday. If you need to look at what cards are available, please check out www.glscrip.com. They make excellent Christmas gifts!
