Greetings ACS,

Well, the fundraising dinner is just around the corner. I hope everyone received the “hot pink” letter this week detailing more information concerning the dinner. We are looking forward to this wonderful event with great food, entertainment, and speakers. If you have any questions, please call Michal Herrington.
Let me take a moment to say thank you to our ACS students!! Thank you for your servant hearts and pleasant attitudes. I want to especially thank those who helped set up for the athletic sports awards night!! Everything was set up in such a quick and efficient manner without complaint. Thank You!!

Parent/Teacher ConferencesTuesday, November 1st, 6 pm - Please mark your calendars for this very important night! It is a wonderful opportunity to see how your child is doing in class and to get to know your Applewood teachers better! Childcare will be provided by the 8th grade class in the Awana room during conferences for a donation only!

College Planning NightThursday, November 10, is our night for all high school students to become better informed about all the ins and outs of colleges, applying for colleges, scholarships, etc.  Jeff Backe will be our guest speaker. I cannot stress how informative this night will be especially for students in grades 9-11!

ACS Shirts, Hoodies, Sweats – Student Council sent home order sheets today for ACS apparel. Please ask your students about it. The due date for money and order forms is Friday, November 11.

Scrip Cards – Please don’t forget that each Friday we collect orders and/or deliver scrip cards. If you need to look at what cards are available, please check out www.glscrip.com. They make excellent Christmas gifts!

Boater's License Class – Tuesday, November 22 – We will be offering a boaters class for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1984, needing to obtain their boater’s license. The class will be 5-6 hours and you will take the written test on site that day. For anyone born after the 1984 date, a license is required to operate any water craft. If you pass the test, there is a $15 fee to receive your license from the MO license bureau. Please contact Gaye Hiller as soon as possible if you are interested.
