Hello ACS,
Congratulations to our JV and Varsity volleyball teams! They had a great tournament this past weekend. Varsity placed second and JV received the sportsmanship award. Way to go, girls
As October gives way to November, I encourage you to stay up-to-date on the bulletin and event calendar. We have a lot of exciting events coming up in the first week of November. Please plan to attend parent/teacher conferences Monday, November 1st, as this is a great opportunity for you to meet and talk with your child’s teachers. Additionally, the fundraiser dinner is Saturday, November 6th; please continue to prepare for this major event. Every year this proves to be a fun and memorable evening.
CORRECTION: Art Contest and Display: The location of the art display is Faith Baptist Church, not First Baptist Church. If you would like to see the display, the celebration is Sunday, Oct. 31 from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Red Ribbon Week: Oct. 25-29. Each year we recognize Red Ribbon Week and celebrate being drug free! On Wednesday, we will have a time of assembly and games from 8:15-10:15 am. Parents are welcome to attend. We will also celebrate with Spirit Days.
Monday – Doing Drugs is Crazy – wear your hair in a very crazy style today!
Wednesday – Partner Up for the Fight Against Drugs – Find a friend and dress up as twins today.
Friday – Red Ribbon Dress Up –each class will pick their own theme and create their own way to dress up.
Happy Birthday to You:
We do not have any birthdays this week.
Memory Verse:
I Peter 1:13-16: “Obey God because you are his children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of doing evil; you didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God –who chose you to be his children – is holy. For he himself said, “You must be holy because I am holy.” (NLT)
