Hello ACS Parents,
This was an exciting weekend for our varsity soccer and volleyball teams as we attended the Christian Fellowship Tournament in Columbia. Though the second day was rained out, our soccer team fought hard in two grueling games on Friday. The volleyball team played their best and earned the top ranked spot in their division in pool play on Friday. On Saturday they played hard to earn the third place overall in the tournament.
Throughout the weekend, God was sending the Volleyball players a message that came out in their devotion time loud and clear:
“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me.” Jeremiah 9:24
Their focus was on glorifying God those two days and being content in whatever the outcome was of each game. Their focus surely paid off because they not only came home with the third place trophy but the most important award to any Christian team, the Sportsmanship Award. Great job Mustangs and Lady Mustangs! We are so proud of you!
