Bulletin

March 16 - 20

Hello ACS Family,

I am writing to you today from New Hampshire, where I am helping to pack my mother for her move to Missouri.  As such I will need to refer you to the office for many details of the week’s activities.

Mission team one is off to Honduras.  I heard that part of the group was on a plane that had a delay and they missed their connection.  They are in Honduras now after spending a night in Miami.  Please continue to pray for their safety and for the people of Honduras.  Mission team #2 begins their work tomorrow.  Please pray for these students to keep their focus and to prepare the hearts of the people that they will come into contact with.

This week your children came home wearing a bracelet of black, red, white, yellow, and green thread that they had been given during chapel.  This bracelet has two purposes.  One is that they are to wear it all the time because it will remind them to pray for the two mission teams.  The second is that with Easter coming soon we are focusing on the Resurrection.  For those who don’t know, these are the colors of the wordless book, an evangelistic tool that we use to help bring children to Christ.  Each color represents something in the gospel story:  black represents sin, red – the blood of Christ, white – the forgiveness of our sins, yellow – heaven, and green – the growth every Christian strives for by reading their Bible, going to church, and praying.  Please be sure to talk to your children about the significance of their bracelet and encourage them to wear it and pray for their fellow ACS students.

God bless you all.  See you next week!
