BMX Show – Monday, March 2 from 1:00 – 1:45. The date is finally here! Those students who sold 10 items at the Family Club fund raiser this past fall earned the chance to watch the BMX show.
Spring Sports Awards – Friday, March 6 the program will begin promptly at 6:45pm. Each family is asked to bring a dessert to share. Players please bring your uniforms clean and complete. Players who have not paid for their sports fees will need to do so by that evening.
Basketball Photos - Mr. Young is doing things a bit differently this year. Basketball photo packages will be distributed the night of sports awards to all students FREE of charge. Should you wish to give a donation to the athletic fund ($10 is suggested). The package includes the following:
• 8 X 10 collage
• 4 X 6 team picture
• 4 – 4 X 6 hero shots
Additional pictures may be ordered if desired. See Mr. Young for additional orders.
ACS Talent Show Dress Rehearsal – Thursday, March 5 at 6:00pm. All students signed participating in the talent show are required to attend the dress rehearsal. Stuco members working lighting, props, and with the talents need to attend!
ACS Talent Show – Saturday, March 7 at 6:30pm. Cost is $5.00 each at the door, $15 for a family. Little guys 2 and under are free. Students participating in the show or working it are not required to pay.
MAACS Field Trip for grades 3 - 6. Friday, March 20 students will attend MAACS Fine Arts Competition in Independence, MO. We will need parents to help drive and chaperone students. If you are interested please call the office.
MAACS Junior & Senior High – March 26 & 27. This is an optional field trip. Students planning on attending need to sign up in the office. Work missed is due on Monday, March 30.
Honduras Team is looking for a toy guitar for their VBS program.
Sense and Sensibility Dinner Theatre - The High School is performing Jane Austin’s Sense and Sensibility. We are trying to establish Applewood as a Christian School which offers quality, family friendly productions for the whole community. It is also are desire that the drama program will become a fund raising source that will not only sustain the drama program but add things to program and benefit the school, like better lighting and sound equipment. We also began a tradition of performing Dinner Theater for the spring production with Uncle Phil’s last year. Since we sold out at 225 seats; this year we will be performing the play THREE times:
Friday, April 24th, at 7:00 pm Adults: $10.00 Students: $8.00 Buffet Dinner
Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 pm Adults: $ 6.00 Students: $4.00 Tea & Scones
Saturday, April 25th at 6:00 pm Adults: $10.00 Students: $8.00 Buffet Dinner
Tickets will be on sale this week at the school office and through the High School Cast. We will also be advertising through the Sedalia Democrat the 3rd week of March and the 1st Week of April. So please get your tickets early! We have limited seating each performance.

These productions are great and look good because of the many volunteers who sew costumes, build props, lend us furniture and props, build sets, do graphic art on tickets, posters and programs, put on makeup, do hairstyles, and the students who dedicate hours of rehearsals. Fruit bowl for centerpiece on dining table
Fireplace electric log grate set
3 tiered server in silver (3-5)
