HELP! HELP! HELP! HELP!
The Drama Class needs YOUR HELP for our Dinner Theater production of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility! This will be the high school end of the year play, and we will be performing it on Friday and Saturday, April 24th and 25th from 6:00 – 8:30 pm.
Tickets will be on sale next week at the school office.
Please keep these students in your prayers as they are getting ready for their performance. Pray they will do well, but also enjoy this experience.

Help Needed:
Urgent: Seamstresses to sew one dress per young lady (7), one tailcoat per boy (7), and 2 waistcoats, plus add collars to 5 existing waistcoats. Also, seamstress to sew 4 pairs of leg coverings that will look like knee length boots.
If we could get one or two who would volunteer to cut the patterns and others to sew them together, we could get it done faster. I already have some fabrics that have been donated and have the patterns.
4 persons to help with food preparation on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009. Food will be served buffet style. Talk to Mrs. Crosier.
4 to 6 persons to help with food preparation for that Friday and Saturday, April 24th and April 25th. Talk to Mrs. Crosier.
1 person to head up clean up after each performance.
Publicity coordinator to prepare and send press releases to local radio, Channel 18, and local press, and follow up on community events posted on Radio and newspaper.
Person to be responsible for ticket sales.
List of furniture needed:
This play is set during the Regency Era in England, 1811-1820. We need to borrow the following furniture to create the interior set:
sofa or settee
lounge chair
4 side chairs (fabric in solids, vertical line patterns or small floral patterns (English look)
dining room table with 6 chairs (preferably dark stains, not honey pine stain)
2 small writing desks (English antique look)
coffee table in English antique look
end table in English antique look
Room screens with fabric or painted scenes
Props:
Oil Paintings of: landscapes, sea coasts, 1600’s, 1700’s or 1800’s era sail boats on ocean scenes, portraits of those eras previously mentioned.
Candelabras in silver or gold (single candle holder or branched)
colonial type wall candle sconces
Candles (long tapered 12 in. in white, burgundy, green, cream)
Ink wells for feather quills (we just need the look, we don’t need the ink)
Silver tea tray set (Server, creamer, sugar bowl and tray)
Small silver tray for holding letters (butler presents the correspondence on this type of tray)
Tea set for 6 and Server (cups and saucers)
Pitcher and bowl to bring water to sick bed
Linens to wash face of sick patient
Embroidery hoops in various sizes (3)
Blanket or quilt - approximate the look of that era to have the actors seem like they are sewing and working on it
Handkerchiefs in white (4)
Hard bound antique looking books (small sized)
Wicker baskets with handles as for carrying flowers in
Wicker basket large enough for blankets
Urn
Large Vase (English, French or Italian look – flower design)
Various figurines to decorate fireplace mantel and tables
Fruit bowl for centerpiece in dining table
