HELP!   HELP!  HELP!  HELP!

The Drama Class needs YOUR HELP for Uncle Phil’s Diner!  This will be the 9th and 10th grade play for the 2007-2008 school year.  It will take place on Saturday, May 3rd from 6-8:00 pm.  The students are very excited!
We need you to help spread the word and help sell tickets.  Tickets are already in the office, or you can approach a 9th or 10th grader.  We have promotional flyers for all the churches we represent.  Come by the Applewood office and get some for your church’s bulletin boards.  Make sure you get your own family’s tickets first, then pick up tickets for friends and neighbors, but please collect the money first.  Checks can be made payable to Applewood.  Please do so early so we can have an idea of the amount of food to buy and number of tables the students will be serving.  We are hoping around 160 people come to our Diner that night.
Uncle Phil’s Diner takes place in 1956, so we encourage everyone to come dressed in their 1950’s costume.  You might get the best dressed prize!  This will be a FUN FAMILY night of great diner food (hamburgers or hotdogs, Root Beer floats, ice cream with Oreos or Sugar Wafers) and 50’s style entertainment by the Desoto’s live band performers.  Yes, there really is a live band coming to perform that night and they are really good!
Please keep these students in your prayers as they are preparing their costumes, memorizing scripted lines, preparing improvisations and learning 50’s songs to sing and dance to.  Pray they will do well, but also enjoy this experience.
The following is a list of helpers and some items we still need.  If you can donate, please let Mrs. Dharma León know at 829-2869 or e-mail me at carlosl11861@yahoo.com.
