Hi ACS Families! It is the time of the year that we do achievement testing with the students. It is important that students get adequate rest and get a good breakfast so that they are able to do their best during testing. Each student needs to bring the following: three sharpened #2 pencils, a snack, their water bottle (no soda please!), and a calculator for senior high students. Cognitive testing for grades 3, 7, & 9 are on Thursday, March 13. Iowa Basics Testing March 17, 18, & 19 for grades 1 – 8, March 17 & 19 for grades 9 - 11. Students are required to arrive at school at 8:15 as testing begins promptly at 8:30, I will be at school at 8:00 if you need to drop your students off early. No homework will be issued for testing days. Seniors do not have school on these days.(Parents, please excuse the format of the bulletin. It refuses to put spaces and lines in where it is told. Sorry!) Mrs. Young

Boston Field trip fund raisers – The 8th and 9th graders are diligently working to raise money to go towards their history field trip to Boston this May. Here are ways that ACS families can help:
1) Eat at the McDonald's on South Limit on March 11th from 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. We get 10% of all purchases (excluding all drive thru sales). You can help support us by feeding your family at McDonald's that night. Tell all your friends and family about it too!
2) Eat at Long John Silvers on March 25 from 11 am to 8 pm. Twenty percent of the profits from your meal will go to the students attending the ACS Boston field trip. Bring the flier that was sent home with your student or we don’t get credit!
3) Attend the 12 Hour Mega Scrapbooking Crop on April 5 from 9 am to 9 pm. Call Darla Lansing for details or refer to the yellow sheet that went home with your student Friday.
4) Hire a student for odd jobs. If you have a job that you could use our students for please call Mrs. Lansing to schedule their help.
Student Council Elections – April 9th immediately following school. Students grades 8 – 11 are asked to attend. Students should prayerfully consider running for an office. Those students interested must give each of their teachers a recommendation form to fill out. Forms are located in the Stucco mail box in the office. All forms must be back to Mrs. Cloud by April 2.
Dinner Theatre - Saturday, April 26, grades 9 and 10 will be performing “Uncle Phil’s Diner.” Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be waiting tables and the juniors and seniors will be cooking the meal.
