Bulletin

Week of Dec. 3 - 7

Dear ACS Families,

Did you get a chance to check out the Sedalia News Journal’s article about the ACS fund raising dinner?  It was in the Nov. 21 edition.  It was a great article that represented both WallBuilders and ACS well.  We have posted the two articles about ACS on the bulletin boards in both buildings.  Also on the bulletin boards is a copy of the latest Bulletin, as well as minutes from the School Board, the Student Council, and the Family Club.  Check it out!

Thanks to all the parents who have brought their students to drama rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas program on Dec. 13.  Mrs. Leon is cooking up something really special (as always) that will involve EVERY student at ACS.  I can’t wait to see it!  We are planning to have an intermission that evening so we are asking each family to bring a plate of cookies or bars to the event.  Also Mrs. Leon is still missing some props and costumes.  I have attached her list at the bottom of this bulletin.  If you can help her in any way, please give her a call.  Dress rehearsal will be Dec. 13 from 10:00am – 1:00pm.  Students will not have homework that day due to the performance and the program.

Mid Term Reports will go out Wednesday.

Lunch Monitor needed!  We are in need of a lunch monitor for Wednesdays to watch the students.  You would need to be available from 11:15 – 12:15.  See Mrs. Young if you can help.

Spirit Day this Friday!  We are WAY over due for a spirit day.  Everyone is looking forward to the holidays.  Come to school dressed as your favorite Christmas character or come wearing red and green!

School Christmas Party Day – Dec. 14.  Students will have a fun morning exchanging gifts, playing games, and doing crafts.  School will get out at noon!  Each family is asked to bring in a snack for the students to share.  If your last name begins with A – M, please bring in a sweet snack.  If your last name begins with N – Z, please bring in a healthy snack.  Students should have their exchange gift wrapped with the name of the student written on it.

Treats for the Troops – Every year the teachers, in lieu of a gift, ask that families donate towards a worthy cause.  This year we are sending supplies to the troops.  Letters explaining this went home with the students last Friday.

Snow Day Rules To find out whether or not school has been cancelled due to snow, listen to Spirit FM (107.7 and 89.7 ), KSIS  (1050 AM ), or check the web site.  Homework for that day will be posted on each teacher’s blog by 10:00 am.  Homework given on snow days are due the following school day.

Yours In Christ,

Pamela Young
