    Because I have 3 papers to send you and I can only send one at a time in each blog, I am going to send you your practice tests via text. Except for Aiden, Sam and Daniel - I'll email yours.

  • Alg 1- Monday April 20th

    Lesson 89- do the examples and the practice problems and 4, 28,29,30
  • Alg 1/2 Monday April 20th

    Lesson 105- do the examples and the practice problems. 1,6,7,10,21,29

     

    Wednesday I will send out your pretest and answers.  Your last test will be on Friday.

    Lesson 81- do the examples,  the lesson practice problems and 5, 8, 13, 24.

     

    For Wed I'll send out the pretest and answers and Friday will be your last test.

    Wednesday- go over lesson 87- This is a hard lesson. It won't show up on a test, so do your best to grasp a little of the new concept.  It's ok if you don't understand it completely.  

    Homework- example 87.1,87.2,87.3, practice a-e(do the best you can) and 4, 18, 23, 27, 28, 29.(Due by 8pm Thursday)

    Friday-  Go over lesson 88- Again, this is a hard lesson. It won't show up on a test.  Classwork- Examples 88.1-88.4, 3, 6,18, 26,27,29(due by Friday at 8pm or you can lump it in with Wednesdays work)

  • Alg 1/2 Week of April 15th

    I know we had high hopes of finishing the book, but that wont happen after all.  However, you should know, you all have done an exceptional job taking on new concepts.  These next few concepts are hard.  They will not show up on a test so just do your best to get what you can out of it.

     

    Just today, as I sort out all I got in the mail, I see that I gave you test 16B twice!! I apologize for that.  Not sure what I will do for the score of the second test.  After I grade it, I will test your resluts. (can't believe neither of you didin't tell me-lol)

     

    Wednesday- go over Lesson 103- Homework- example 103.1, 103.2, a-c and 2,3,8,20,29. (due by Thursday at 8pm)

    Friday- go over lesson 104- classwork would be example 104.1,104.2,104.3, practice problems a-d, 1,4,24,(due by Friday 8 pm or you can lump it in with Wednesdays work)

     Fri- go over lesson 80-do examples1,2,3,4, a-d, 1, 7,11,14,(due by 8pm Fri or you can lump it in with Wednesdays work)

      

     I'm super proud of you all for digging in and continuing to learn on your own these last several concepts. Just know- YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!!  I will grade your test you mailed to me today and then text your results! Last test you ALL did great.  You have one more test and that will be next week.

    Monday(due by Tuesday at 8pm)- Find the perimeter, area and surface area of items around your home((find perimeter of your room, area of the kitchen table and surface area of the cheerios box are examples)

     

    Wednesday(due by Thurs at 8pm)) Find a cake box(or anything else you choose) and convert the ingredients to make for 20 people.  Do this process for 2 different items. Look for math in something else you do today(card game, helping dad or anything else)  

     

    Friday(due by Friday at 8pm)- create, design, build or work on any project you love to do!! It's up to you to choose.

     

    To turn in homework- write on paper for Monday and Wednesday and take pictures of everything for all three days.

  • Algebra I- week of March 30th

    Monday(due Tuesday by 8pm)- find the perimeter, area, surface area and volume of 4 different items in your home. (find perimeter of your room, area of the kitchen table, surface area of the cheerios box, and volume of oatmeal container are examples)

    Wednesday(due by Thurs at 8pm- play a game with your family that involves some sort of math(cards or a board game are a couple of examples).  And tell me one way you used math in your day today besides the game.  

    Friday(due by Fri at 8pm)- Get cake box(or anything else you might want to use) and convert the ingredients you would need to make that item for 20 people. Do this process with two different items.   

     

    To turn in homework- show your work on paper for Mon and Wed and all three days send me a photo of what you did.

  • Geometry - week of March 30th

    Monday(due Tuesday by 8pm)- As you go about your day- find something you are doing to apply Theorems and Postulates- 

    for example- I hung 4 different pictures on the wall and used Theorem 5-2 to get them straight and where I wanted them on the wall.  I designed a plaque and had to use Postulate 10 to make my lines to keep the words straight.    


    Wednesday(due by Thurs at 8pm)- Use Translations, Reflections, Rotations and Symmetry(color page, sewing, yard work are some ideas) to design a project of your choosing AND find something in your home that uses one or more of them(like a window). 

      

    Friday(due by Fri at 8pm)- find the perimeter, area, surface area and volume using 4 different items.

     

    To turn this assignments in- Tell me what you applied for the days assignment and send me a finished photo of your work.
